Fishy Details

Walter was a well themed birthday gift. If you hadn't guessed it already, the theme of G's first birthday party was FISHIES!

Here are some of the fishy details of the big day...

The invite:

Lots of crepe paper to give the appearance of being under the water.

A fish party wouldn't be complete without Goldfish and

Gummy Worms.

I made this string of garland and included 12 fish, one to show pictures from each month of his first year .

Garett got such a kick out of seeing his pictures up everywhere and on all the different colors :)

There were also 12 fish hanging from the ceiling (floating in the water).  On each side, these fish had pictures from each month of his first year.  And the small fish had facts of his growth and development from each of those months too.  Our family enjoyed looking at all the pictures and learning more about his progress throughout the year.

Instead of a cake, I made up fishy cupcakes.  Aren't they cute!

A poster housed all the monthly "teddy bear" pictures.  It was fun seeing them all side by side and how he went from being smaller than the bear to bigger than the bear.

All his presents.  What a spoiled little boy!

A full house to celebrate the 1st birthday of a very special little boy!
